Main conference session: Your top five business continuity headaches and how to solve them

6th November, 14:55, Reims Room

In this interactive session, pre-conference and in-session polling will be used to help identify the top challenges faced by business continuity professionals in 2018. Will the conventional challenges such as gaining top management support and lack of resources be superseded by new issues such as digitization and the move towards organizational resilience? Charlie Boffin, CEO of ClearView Continuity and Esra Erbas, Head of Business Continuity Management at Paysafe, will address the top five challenges, suggesting innovative ways to solve long-standing issues; and considering how new and emerging challenges can be successfully managed. This practical and interactive session will provide delegates with takeaways that will make a real difference to their business continuity plans and strategies.

Using virtual reality in business continuity and organizational resilience

In this session, Jon Mitchell, Head of Business Development, ClearView Continuity, and Peter Gardiner, Director at Phygital Ltd, will explore how VR can be used within the business continuity and organisational resilience profession and the opportunities that it brings for improving areas such as awareness raising, exercising, and crisis management training. You'll take away practical ideas for your organisation and by attending you'll be given priority access to try out a VR application specifically developed to help test your crisis management skills.

Business continuity management challenges facing public sector planners

Seminar session: 7th November, 12.30

How does business continuity management in the public sector differ from in the private sector? Are there unique challenges and do common across the board challenges need a different approach in the public sector? In this session, Sue Stallard, FBCI, Senior Business Continuity Specialist at ClearView Continuity, takes a look at these questions and provides some practical and useful suggestions.

Stand 21

On exhibition Stand 21, ClearView Continuity will be showcasing the latest version of the multi-award winning ClearView software. Show attendees visiting the stand will be able to find out what's new and what's in the pipeline plus will be able to take the opportunity of a demo of the software. One of the key announcements this year is the launch of virtual reality offerings which can be used to add realism to exercising, testing and awareness raising activities. A breakout room is available to enable people to experience ClearView's virtual reality developments for themselves; and everyone who takes up this opportunity will be entered into a draw to win an Oculus Go standalone VR headset.
