Karen Baker and the British Heart Foundation

ClearView are pleased to announce that we are sponsoring Karen Baker to undertake the gruelling British Heart Foundation Vietnam to Cambodia bike ride on 5th-11th November.

Karen has previously under taken a similar ride last year when completing the 'Across India' ride, again for the BHF and enjoyed the experience so much and not only raised much needed funds for a good cause; she met and made some friends for life.

This exciting bike ride will take Karen from Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia which is justifiably regarded as one of the wonders of the world. En route, she will see some of the most breathtaking scenery in South East Asia, timeless traditions, ancient temples and the warmth of the local people.

The route then takes her through rural villages and past emerald green paddy fields towards the Vietnam / Cambodia border at Moc Bai. She will also have the opportunity to visit the Caodai Great Temple - one of the most striking structures in the whole of South East Asia.

Once into Cambodia, Karen will cycle through arid countryside on flat terrain through sleepy back waters reaching the Mekong River at Neak Loung.

The final days of the ride see's Karen cycling though endless paddy fields and rubber plantations dotted with palm trees ending up in Kompong Thom - a former French trading post on the Mekong and the third largest city in Cambodia.

We wish Karen all the luck in the world and are proud to help her and the BHF.
